My Story

My name is Nicole Kaiser, and I am the owner of 31:8 Speech & Debate. I started speech and debate in 2019 after being diagnosed with a chronic illness at the age of 15. While my chronic illness prevented me from doing many things that I loved, it couldn’t stop me from pouring myself into speech and debate. It ignited a fire in me that I thought I had lost due to my illness and uncovered my passion to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. 

 

For the next four years, I trained and competed in speech and debate at the state and national level until I graduated in 2023 and became a coach. My mission is to help students grow confident in their speaking skills, without having to make all the same mistakes I did as a student. Each student has their own strengths and style, and I want to help them develop it to excel at speaking for truth.
